Website analytics
Analytics shows what happens on your website: how many people visit, which pages they see, where they are and when they come.
What you see
Click Analytics in the sidebar. You need page tracking on your site first. Until then, the board shows Set up tracking.
Analytics with visitors, visits and page views at the top, a visitors chart, top pages and locations
| Panel | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Visitors | How many different people visited. |
| Visits | How many times people came to your site. |
| Page views | How many pages they looked at in total. |
| Visitors chart | Visitors day by day. Turn on Compare to see the period before. |
| Top pages | Your most visited pages. Click Pages to open the full list. |
| Sources | Visitors who came through each of your links, plus one Organic row for everyone else. |
| Locations | Where your visitors are, by country or region. |
| Devices | What your visitors use. |
| Peak hours | When your site is busiest. |
Click one of the headline numbers to show it on the chart below.
Once your site sends named moments, like Signed up, add a Top events panel to see how many people did each one.
Choosing a date range
Pick a date range at the top: Today, Yesterday, 7D, 30D, 3M or 6M. Click Custom to choose your own start and end dates. Every panel on the board follows the range you pick.
Next to each headline number, the arrow shows the change from the period before: green when it went up and red when it went down. The small line beside it turns the same colour, or grey when nothing changed.
FAQs
What is the difference between visitors and visits in Link Studio?
In Link Studio a visitor is one person, and a visit is one time they came to your site. One visitor can make several visits, and a visit ends after 30 minutes without a page view.
Why is my Link Studio Analytics board empty?
Link Studio Analytics needs page tracking. Add the tracking snippet to your site and open a page. On Starter, only one website or app is counted, so check Set up tracking on the Pages page for a site marked Not counted. See Page tracking in one snippet.
