Blocks that do the maths
Blocks sit on your Board and work out the numbers for you. Connect cards into a block and it updates as clicks, visits and sales come in.
The five blocks
| Block | The question it answers |
|---|---|
| Winner | Which of these links does best? |
| Revenue | How much money do these links make? |
| Total | How many clicks, visitors or conversions do these links bring in altogether? |
| Conversion | What share of people make it from this step to the next? |
| Target | How close am I to my goal? |
Four ad links feeding a Best ad Winner block, which feeds a Total clicks block
Adding a block
- Click Blocks in the toolbar.
- Click a block to drop it in the middle of your view, or drag it into place.
- Draw lines from the cards it should read into the block.

Winner
A Winner block ranks the links connected to it and puts a trophy on the best one. The trophy moves on its own when another link takes the lead.
To set one up:
- Add a Winner block.
- Draw a line from each link you want to compare into it.
- Open its settings and choose what it Counts.
| Counts | Ranks by |
|---|---|
| Converted % | The share of each link’s visitors who reached a conversion, like a sale or signup. |
| Clicks | The number of clicks. |
| Revenue | Money made, once a revenue tool is connected. |
A Winner block can also sit after other blocks or pages. If no link is wired straight into it, it ranks every link that leads into it.
Total
A Total block adds up the links that lead into it, even when they pass through other cards on the way.
- Add a Total block.
- Connect your links into it, or connect it after a Winner block.
- Under Counts, choose Clicks, Visitors or Conversions.
Nina, Leo and Ava links connected into a Total clicks block
If you don’t rename it, the block names itself after what it counts, like Total clicks.
Conversion
A Conversion block goes between two cards and shows what share of people made it from the first to the second.
- Add a Conversion block.
- Draw a line from the earlier card into the block.
- Draw a line from the block to the later card.
Checkout connected to a Checkout to purchase block, connected to Purchase, showing 57% converted
Here 257 people reached Checkout and 147 bought, so the block shows 57%. Put one between each step to see where people drop off.
A Conversion block with nothing after it, like one right after Purchase, compares the card before it with the step before that.
Revenue
A Revenue block adds up the money made by the links before it. It shows real sales once Shopify, Stripe, Polar, RevenueCat or Superwall is connected, for the date range at the top of the Board.
- Add a Revenue block.
- Connect it after your Purchase card, or after the links you want to count.
- Open its settings to see which tools it reads under Revenue from.
A chain from Checkout to Purchase with a Revenue block below showing $3,717 and a Sales goal on the side
| Revenue scope | It adds up |
|---|---|
| Connected links | Money from the links connected into the block. This is where it starts. |
| Entire workspace | All the money your revenue tools bring in, whatever link it came from. |
No revenue tool yet? With Connected links, enter a Price per sale in its settings. The block shows an Estimated amount, which is your conversions times that price. Connect revenue takes you to Add-ons.
Target
A Target block shows your progress toward a number as a bar that fills up. It counts whatever the card before it counts.
| Connect it after | It counts |
|---|---|
| A link | Clicks |
| A page | Visitors |
| A conversion, like Purchase | Conversions |
| A Revenue block | Money |
| A Total block | Whatever the Total counts |
- Add a Target block.
- Draw a line from the card you want to track into it.
- Open its settings and type your goal under Target.
