Link Studio docs › Revenue

Track your revenue

Connect the tool that takes your payments. Real sales then land on the link that earned them, so you see money, not just clicks.

Connecting a revenue tool

Link Studio works with the payment tools most stores and apps already use.

  • Shopify: Orders from your Shopify store.
  • Stripe: Checkouts and payments.
  • Polar: Orders and subscriptions.
  • RevenueCat: In app trials and subscriptions.
  • Superwall: Paywalls, trials and subscriptions.

To connect one:

  1. Click Add-ons in the sidebar.
  2. Find your tool under Connections and click Connect.
  3. Paste the key from your tool and fill in the other fields.
  4. Click Connect.

Choosing a tool to connect

Crediting each sale to a link

Link Studio credits a sale to the link the buyer clicked before they paid.

  • Shopify picks this up on its own when your short link goes to your store.
  • Stripe and Polar need your checkout to pass along the visit. The connect form explains how under Connect checkout to your funnel. With page tracking on your site, that takes one line. See Signed in people and sales.
  • RevenueCat and Superwall need your app to save the link when it opens from one. See Connect your app to your funnel in the form.

Where revenue shows up

  • Revenue blocks on your Board show real money for the date range at the top of the Board. Their settings show when each tool last synced.
  • Winner blocks can rank your links by Revenue.
  • Target blocks connected to a Revenue block show progress toward a revenue goal.
  • Your Analytics boards get a Revenue panel. Click Customize analytics, Add panel, then Add next to Revenue under Sales.

Estimating before you connect

Not ready to connect yet? Open a Revenue block’s settings and enter a Price per sale. The block shows an Estimated amount based on your conversions until a revenue tool is connected.

FAQs

Does Link Studio count test payments in revenue?

No. Link Studio keeps test and sandbox payments out of your live reports, for every revenue tool.

Does Link Studio take refunds off revenue?

Yes. Link Studio takes refunds off revenue for every tool that reports them.

Can I connect more than one revenue tool to Link Studio?

Yes. Connect as many as you use to Link Studio, like Shopify for your store and RevenueCat for your app.

How quickly do new sales show up in Link Studio?

Within seconds for most sales. Link Studio checks Shopify, Polar and RevenueCat every 3 seconds and Superwall every 5, and the Board updates as soon as a sale comes in. Stripe is checked every 3 seconds while people are on your site and once a minute when it’s quiet, and on accounts that use up Link Studio’s share of Stripe requests, every 15 minutes. RevenueCat checks recently active customers quickly and picks up everyone else when Link Studio reads all your customers again, about every 10 minutes.

How far back does Link Studio import my sales?

Link Studio brings in your whole history the first time you connect, so All time on the Board shows every sale. Shopify only sends orders older than 60 days when its app has read_all_orders, and Superwall installs and paywall views only go back 6 days.

Do sales from organic visitors count in Link Studio?

Yes. Sales from people who didn’t click one of your links in the 30 days before buying count in your Link Studio revenue, but never on a link. On the Board, a Revenue block set to Entire workspace includes them, and picking Organic in All sources shows only those sales.
