# Text, boxes and comments

> Label, group and talk about your Board with text, boxes and comments.

Text, boxes and comments don’t count anything. They make the Board easy to read and easy to talk about: a title for each campaign, a box around the cards that belong together, a question for your team.

## Adding text or a box

1. Click **Text** or **Box** in the toolbar, or press **T** or **S**.
2. It lands in the middle of your view. Drag it where you want it.

| Item | Use it for |
| --- | --- |
| Text | Big headings that name a part of the Board, like Spring drop. |
| Box | Grouping cards, like all your paid ads or all your creators. |

> **Note:** Older Boards can still have sticky notes. You can type in them, move them and remove them like text.

## Writing text

1. With the **Select** tool, click the text to select it.
2. Click it again to start typing.
3. Click anywhere else, or press **Esc**, when you are done.

Text stays on one line until you press **Enter**. To move text while you type, drag the words.

## Styling text

Select text and its toolbar appears above it.

| Button | Shortcut | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| B | ⌘ B | Makes the text bold. |
| Colour dots | | Changes the colour: black, pink, blue, orange or purple. |
| − and + | ⇧ ⌘ < and ⇧ ⌘ > | Makes the text smaller or bigger. You can also type a size in the box. |
| Duplicate | ⌘ D | Makes a copy next to it. |
| Remove | Delete | Takes it off the Board. |

You can also drag the small square in its bottom right corner to make the text bigger or smaller.

## Grouping cards in a box

To group cards:

1. Click **Box** in the toolbar, or press **S**.
2. Drag its bottom right corner until it surrounds the cards.
3. Select the box and click the gear in its toolbar.
4. In **Box settings**, give it a **Name**, like Paid or Creators, and pick a **Colour**. Changes save as you go.

> **Figure:** Naming a box
>
> The Paid box selected, with Box settings open on the right showing its name, five colours and Remove box

When you drag a box, every card inside it moves too. It is the quickest way to move a whole campaign around the Board. To rename it quickly, click the title of a selected box and type.

**Remove box** takes the box off the Board and keeps the cards inside it.

> **Tip:** A box doesn’t change any numbers. To compare the cards inside it, connect them to a [Winner block](https://linkstudio.link/docs/blocks/#winner).

## Leaving a comment

To leave a comment:

1. Click **Comment** in the toolbar, or press **C**.
2. Click a card, or an empty spot on the Board.
3. Write your comment and click **Comment**. Or press **⌘ Enter**.

> A comment pin on the Checkout card with its thread open, showing Resolve, Delete and a Reply box

- Everyone in the workspace sees the pin. Click it to read the comment and reply. Viewers can read comments but can’t add or reply to them.
- Drag a pin to move it. A pin on a card moves with the card.
- Click the tick to resolve a comment and hide its pin. Resolved comments stay hidden. You can delete your own comments with the bin.
- Resolved or deleted one by mistake? Press **⌘ Z** to bring it back.
