# Measuring a funnel

> Measure how many people make it through each step, and where they drop off.

A funnel follows people through a few steps, like Homepage, Checkout and Purchase, and shows how many make it to the end.

## Measuring a funnel

Funnels live in Analytics. Add a funnel panel and pick its steps.

To measure a funnel:

1. Go to **Analytics** and click **Customize analytics**.
2. Click **Add panel** and add **Funnel** under **Activity**.
3. Click the new panel and set its steps, like a visit to Homepage, a visit to Checkout and Purchase.
4. Click **Done**.

> **Tip:** Your [AI assistant](https://linkstudio.link/docs/mcp-for-agents/) can measure a path for you. Ask it to measure Homepage, Pricing and Signed up as a funnel.

## Reading the results

- Each step shows how many people reached it and what share of the first step that is.
- The top right shows the share of people who made it through every step.
