# A live map of every sale

> Your Board shows every link, page and sale on one live map.

Your Board is a map of how people reach a sale. Links feed into pages, pages lead to a purchase, and the numbers on every card update as it happens.

## What you see on the Board

Each card is one step on the way to a sale. The lines between them show the path people take from one step to the next.

| Card | What it counts |
| --- | --- |
| Link | Clicks on one short link. |
| Organic | Visitors who didn’t come through one of your links. See [The Organic card](https://linkstudio.link/docs/live-map/#organic). |
| Page | Visitors and visits for one page of your website. |
| Conversion | People who did the thing you care about, like Purchase, and how many times it happened. |
| Block | Works something out from the cards before it: a total, a rate, a winner, revenue or progress to a target. |
| Text, box and comment | Nothing. They are there to label, group and talk about the rest. |

>
> A Board with four links and the Organic card flowing into the homepage, checkout and purchase, with a sales goal above and revenue below

Every number follows the date range at the top of the Board. When someone clicks or visits while the Board is open, a small square runs along the line they took. It then waits beside the card while that person is still around, for up to 5 minutes. A line shows up to 6 squares. When more people wait there, the earliest share one bigger square.

## Choosing a date range

Pick a date range at the top of the Board: **Today**, **Yesterday**, **7D**, **30D** or **All time**. Every card and block follows it, so a Revenue block on **Today** shows the money made today.

> **Figure:** The top of the Board
>
> Replay, the date range set to 7D and All sources at the top of the Board, above Purchase, a Revenue block and a Sales goal

- The Board starts on **30D** and remembers your pick for each workspace. Your teammates pick their own.
- **Today** and **Yesterday** follow the time zone of your computer.
- **All time** goes back to the first click, visit or sale Link Studio has.

## Replaying a period

Click **Replay**, left of the dates, to watch the period you picked play back on the Board. Every number starts at 0. Clicks and visits run along the lines in the order they happened, and every card counts up until it reaches the numbers you see now.

> **Figure:** Replaying the last 7 days
>
> The replay player at the top of the Board with a pause button, the clock on Tue 27 Oct at 2:32 PM, a progress bar and 3x picked, above cards counting up

| Speed | The whole period plays in |
| --- | --- |
| 3x | 3 minutes |
| 5x | 1 minute |
| 10x | 15 seconds |

- The clock shows the moment you are watching. Pause and play with the button next to it.
- Replay covers **Today**, **Yesterday**, **7D** and **30D**. If **All time** is picked, it plays the last 30 days.
- Live squares pause while you watch. Picking other dates or sources starts the replay again.
- Click **×** to go back to live numbers.

## Picking sources

Click **All sources**, right of the dates, to count only some of your links. The list has your **Folders**, your **Links** and, if your Board has an Organic card, **Organic** under **Other**. Type in **Search sources** to find one.

> **Figure:** Counting only some sources
>
> The All sources list open with the Meta ads folder partly ticked, three ads ticked and Founder story unticked, and the other cards faded on the Board

- Tick whole folders or single links. Unticking one link in a ticked folder keeps the rest of that folder, and the folder shows a part tick.
- Pages, conversions and lines then count only the people your picks brought. Cards they didn’t reach fade.
- Total and Revenue blocks add up only your picks. A Winner block fades the links you didn’t pick.
- Link cards keep their own clicks.
- Your picks show under the list. Click **×** on one to drop it, or **Clear** to count every source again.

## The Organic card

Once you verify a domain or add an app, an **Organic** card appears on your Board by itself. It counts the people who reached your website or app without one of your links: from a search, a post without your link, a forwarded email or by typing your address.

> **Figure:** Seeing where organic visitors came from
>
> The Organic card connected to the homepage, with its details open on the right listing google.com, instagram.com and Organic

- For 30 days after someone clicks one of your links, their visits count for that link, not for Organic.
- Click the card with the **Hand** tool to see **Visitors** and **Where they came from**: a site like google.com, a campaign tag from a link made somewhere else, or just **Organic**.
- Connect it to the pages people land on, like any link.
- Pick **Organic** in **All sources** to count only these visitors.

> **Note:** Removed it? It stays off your Board. Add it back from the **Organic** row in the **Links** tray.

## Live numbers

The Board updates on its own while it is open. Nobody needs to refresh.

- Link Studio checks your revenue tools for new sales every few seconds. Stripe is checked every few seconds while people are on your site, and once a minute when it’s quiet.
- When a number changes, its digits roll to the new value.
- New money flashes green for a moment, so you see a sale land.

> **Note:** RevenueCat and Superwall can take a little longer. See [RevenueCat](https://linkstudio.link/docs/revenuecat/) and [Superwall](https://linkstudio.link/docs/superwall/).

## Moving around

| To do this | Do this |
| --- | --- |
| Pan | Scroll with your trackpad or mouse wheel. Or hold **Space** and drag, or drag with the **Hand** tool. |
| Zoom | Pinch on a trackpad, or hold **⌘** and scroll. You can also click **−** and **+** in the bottom right. Zoom goes from 25% to 150%. |
| See everything | Click **Fit canvas** next to the zoom buttons, or press **1**. |

> **Note:** The Board opens where you left it, at the same zoom.

## Opening the details of a card

To open a card’s details:

1. Pick the **Hand** tool, or press **H**.
2. Click a link, page, conversion or Organic card.
3. The details open on the right. Click **×** to close them.

> **Figure:** Opening the details of a page card
>
> The Checkout card selected with its details on the right showing 257 visitors

| Card | What the details show |
| --- | --- |
| Link | **Clicks** in the date range you picked, and the short link with a button to copy it. |
| Page | **Visitors** in the date range you picked. |
| Conversion | **People** who converted in the date range you picked. |
| Organic | **Visitors** and **Where they came from**. |

Click a link card, then a page or conversion, to see only that link’s people. The details say so, like **Summer reel traffic**. Click **×** next to it to count everyone again.

Blocks and boxes open their settings from the gear in their toolbar. See [Changing block settings](https://linkstudio.link/docs/blocks/#settings) and [Grouping cards in a box](https://linkstudio.link/docs/notes-and-boxes/#box).

> **Tip:** A page card with no numbers isn’t linked to a tracked page. See [Adding a page or conversion](https://linkstudio.link/docs/adding-cards/#pages).

## How the counts work

- Every card counts the date range picked at the top of the Board.
- A visitor is one person. A visit is one time they came. One visitor can make several visits.
- A line counts the people seen at both of its cards, in that order, within 30 minutes.
- A visit or sale is credited to the last link the person clicked, for up to 30 days.
- A page without tracking, or a click on a different link, breaks the path at that point.

## FAQs

### Do new links show up on the Link Studio Board?

Yes, when you create them on the **Links** page. Link Studio adds each one to your Board as a card, ready to connect to your pages, conversions and blocks. Links your AI agent makes go on the Board when you ask it to, or you can add them from the **Links** tray.

### Why does a page card on my Link Studio Board show no numbers?

Link Studio needs page tracking on that page, and the card needs to be linked to it. See [Page tracking in one snippet](https://linkstudio.link/docs/page-tracking/) and [A page card with no numbers](https://linkstudio.link/docs/adding-cards/#map).

### Is the Link Studio Board shared with my team?

Yes. Everyone in a Link Studio workspace works on the same Board, live. You see who else is online, where they are pointing and which cards they have picked, and a card someone else has picked stays locked until they let go. Each person picks their own date range and sources, and viewers can look but not change anything. See [Build it with friends](https://linkstudio.link/docs/build-it-with-friends/).

### How does Replay work on the Link Studio Board?

Click **Replay**, left of the dates, and Link Studio plays the period you picked back on your Board. Every number starts at 0, clicks and visits run along the lines in the order they happened, and every card counts up to the numbers you see now. Pick **3x**, **5x** or **10x** to watch it in 3 minutes, 1 minute or 15 seconds.

### How do I see only one campaign on my Link Studio Board?

Click **All sources** at the top of your Board and tick the folder or links of that campaign. Link Studio then counts only the people they brought: other cards fade, and Total and Revenue blocks add up only your picks. Click **Clear** to count every source again.

### What is the Organic card on my Link Studio Board?

Link Studio adds an **Organic** card by itself once you verify a domain or add an app. It counts the people who reached your site or app without one of your links, like from a search, and shows where they came from when you click it with the **Hand** tool.
