# Funnels in analytics

> Add a funnel panel to see how many people make it through each step, and pick its style.

A funnel panel shows how many people make it through each step, from the first visit to the sale, and where they drop off.

## Adding a funnel

1. Click **Customize analytics**, then **Add panel**.
2. Under **Activity**, add **Funnel**. Or pick a funnel you saved on your Board under **From your Board**.
3. Click the new panel to set its steps.
4. Click **Done**.

The top right shows the share of people who made it through every step. Each step shows its share and how many people reached it.

## Funnel steps

Each step is one thing people do.

| Step | Counts people who |
| --- | --- |
| Came from a link | Clicked one of your links, or a link you choose. |
| Visited a page | Saw a page on your site. |
| Converted | Reached one of your [conversions](https://linkstudio.link/docs/conversions/). |
| Did an event | Did a [moment you named](https://linkstudio.link/docs/page-tracking/#name-moments) on your site. |

> **Note:** Funnels need [page tracking](https://linkstudio.link/docs/page-tracking/).

## Funnel styles

Edit the panel and pick a **Style**. All three show the same numbers.

| Style | Best for |
| --- | --- |
| Flow | Seeing at a glance where the funnel narrows. |
| Columns | Comparing steps side by side, with the drop from the step before. |
| Steps | Reading exact numbers, including how many dropped off at each step. |
